Testimonies By Victims Of North-East Delhi Violence – February 2020

In March 2020, a People’s Tribunal on the Delhi Carnage was organised. It looked in detail at the anatomy, arson, relief and road ahead post the North East Delhi riots of February 2020. At this tribunal, there were around 30 victims present, who gave their testimony in front of a jury. They all spoke of their individual losses of home, livelihood and loved ones.

Today, 2 years later, we must look back at these testimonies and never forget them. Most of these victims are still fighting for justice. With meagre compensation from the government, their wounds are still as fresh and they continue to be traumatised till date by what they witnessed in those days of unabated violence.
