“Languages belong to regions, not religions.” Nandita Das, Naseeruddin Shah and Jameel Gulrays celebrate #Urdu, a quintessentially Indian language, born in our country, through the common people. A local bhasha that has a mixture of Avadhi, Braj, Persian, Arabic…and shares the same grammar as Hindi. It is a language of hope and solidarity.
